Renewing St. Paul’s for the Next 50 Years

We want you to be a part of an exciting initiative at St. Paul’s that honors and celebrates the importance of St. Paul’s in our lives by updating and enhancing our buildings and property. We do this for future generations in the parish and for ourselves as we continue to worship in an Anglo-Catholic tradition emphasizing beauty, mystery and a fully enfleshed Christian life. Come join us in this effort!

Pledges Received: 169
Total Amount Pledged: $1,129,338
Total Goal: $1,500,000
Thank you!

The generous response from the parish has brought Saint Paul's to a landmark!

A few generous donors have said they will "finish the campaign" if we showed broad-based support for the project by having 120 pledges by July 1. We have reached our goal, but this is not the end. You can still participate in the renewal of our facilities. Pledge cards are available in the Parish Hall, in the entryway and in the church office.

We began the feasibility fund-raising phase of our campaign on February 14, 2010 and worked towards a July 1, 2010, initial deadline for gifts to the campaign. Our goal is $1.5 million, and we are thrilled to accept gifts in any amount. We want as many people as possible in and outside the parish to participate in supporting this important effort. See our financial progress in the column at right, and how the renovation is going below.

Gifts can be made in the following ways (contributions may be paid over three years):

  • Cash (from savings, tax refunds, proceeds from an estate, stock dividends or deferring a major purchase).

  • Bequests / Estate Planning. Name St. Paul’s in your will or as a beneficiary of life insurance or a retirement plan. Charitable Trusts and Gift Annuities.

  • Stocks, Bonds, or Mutual Funds.

If you have any questions about the renovation effort or about the Renewing St. Paul’s campaign, or to discuss the project or to make a gift to this important initiative.

RENOVATION PROGRESS

Our downstairs restrooms are usable; we are still awaiting all our new faucets, but we have one in each bathroom to use. The access ramp is resurfaced. Please admire the new doors to the Bolster Garden! The new upstairs bathroom sewer line work has started and will continue until it is done.

Laura Schafer and her crew of artists have painted the Godly Play rooms now that the carpenters are done. Kudos to them for sprucing us up!

The office now sports a cubicle designated as Gary James' own space.

The copier has moved to the working sacristy. Catharine, Melissa and Prue have gone through and disposed of "stuff" and reorganized the necessaries to make a much nicer working area there.

Bookshelves have been built in the Spiritual Direction Room, which has become the Rector's Office. There is a small meeting room where the Rector's Office was.
